ketchup on the table (I)

Why fancy restaurants do not put ketchup on the table? And by fancy I mean those under the category 10-20 and up USD per plate. Eating in New York can be quite an experience and to be honest I didn't even try too many places. Last Friday’s lunch was one of those experiences where waiters wear vests and you can drink before 2pm. The past 4 weeks turned out to be more than what I expected and less in other things as the bar has been set higher now.

Despite the weather mood swings, one of the things I learned is that it does not matter if it's raining cats & dogs you can go outside, go to work or just take the dog out and still have fun. On my very first visit to the MET, the weather was awful but hey! Who cares? Once inside the subway (happily located 2 blocks away from the apartment) you can move fast, no traffic-concerned and having a free lesson of more than one language at the same time. Please don't get me wrong I'm not becoming an optimist. But once I overcome the situation that in other times would have screwed me up completely, I got to see what I always dreamed and something more. Where in the world would you go from Versailles to Persia just by walking into the next room, or how would you go from Vermeer to Renoir to Leonora Carrington...And the cherry on the pie, a whole Egyptian collection with real coffins.

With this in mind I think I have just started to make it clear how much I'm love with the museum mile and its surroundings. Maybe it is just that the whole city is one of the best places I’ve ever seen.
